A Redwoods Elopement on the Sequoia Park Zoo Sky Walk

A redwoods elopement at Sequoia Park Zoo Sky Walk in Eureka took Dalya and Alejandro up into the canopy for their vows in August 2025, onto an elevated walkway strung with lights that runs between the trunks of trees a couple hundred feet tall. The Sky Walk opens only for private events after the zoo closes, so when they arrived the path was theirs alone and the redwoods darkened around them.

They built the day across two places. The morning ran down in Garberville, then they made the hour-plus drive north up the 101 to Eureka for the evening, then home again. A bouquet from Misty Mountain Flora came with them, and a cake from Ramone's Bakery & Cafe waited at the house for after.
