A Live-Painter Ceremony in the Hillside Garden

The ceremony was set on the garden lawn, with rows of woven bamboo chairs facing bright coral blooms, a stone Buddha, and a wall of palms and elephant ear framing the background. Ariel Corpuz was already at her easel, ready to paint the ceremony live as guests took their seats.

John walked in first, followed by the two mothers in matching green tropical-floral dresses. Then Brianna came down the aisle to him. It was warm and easy, with Brianna beaming through her vows, John grinning right back, and their hands wrapped together. After the kiss, they headed back up the aisle to high-fives on both sides.

All the while, Ariel filled in more and more of the scene in front of her — the greenery, the couple, and the light off the cove — all committed to canvas.

Portraits Above the Cove and a Champagne Tower

Before dinner, the whole wedding party gathered, with bridesmaids in dusty pink around Brianna and her cascading bouquet of white and peach blooms. Both families joined them under the palms. On the terrace, John started the champagne tower, tipping a bottle of cava into the top coupe while Brianna laughed beside him and the bubbles spilled down through the stacked glasses.

As the light turned golden, the couple hopped on a golf cart down to the beach for sunset portraits, with the headland rising behind them. The property gave them everything in one place — the succulent gardens, the hillside, the water — without ever needing a car.

The Reception at the SoCal Private Estate

As the sky turned dark, the reception began. One long table with candles down the center, and a neon green sign glowing as a fun finishing touch. Brianna and John had their first dance with their closest family and friends watching, and the toasts flowed one after another, with plenty of smiles and a few happy tears. They cut the cake and fed each other over the table. The night ended with the whole party dancing, hands up, under the moonlight. The live painter stayed close by, capturing every scene, so the whole day lives on canvas.
