Sonoma County Airport (STS) is 15 minutes from Santa Rosa, direct flights from several West Coast cities. Highway 101 from SF to central Sonoma County is easy for Bay Area guests.
Napa
No commercial airport in Napa. Guests fly into SFO, OAK, or STS (Sonoma) and drive. The Silverado Trail and Highway 29 are manageable. Just budget for driving time and consider a shuttle if the venue is remote.

What's the weather difference between Sonoma and Napa for a wedding?
Sonoma is more varied microclimatically. Coastal Sonoma around Bodega Bay and Guerneville is cooler and foggier. Inland Sonoma Valley and Healdsburg heat up in July–August like Napa does. The Russian River Valley AVA runs noticeably cooler than Napa. Napa Valley itself is warmer and drier, with summer afternoons regularly hitting 90°F+. For outdoor ceremonies, September and October are ideal in both regions.
How far is Sonoma from Napa?
Sonoma town (the county seat) is about 20 miles from downtown Napa, roughly 30–40 minutes without traffic on Highway 12. The two counties share a border, and it's practical to stay in one and visit the other. Many couples do a Sonoma ceremony and a Napa dinner, or vice versa.
