Hannah and Ray's Sonoma vineyard minimony in June 2022 was planned entirely from Iowa. They never saw the venue, the florals, or the catering setup in person before their wedding day. Eight guests. Cline Family Cellars in Carneros. A day built on trust and the kind of vendor shortlist that holds up when you can't be there to check it yourself.
With eight guests, the morning didn't require much orchestration. Hannah and Ray got ready at the property, Hair & Makeup finished on schedule, and Vanda Floral Design's arrangements were in place before the first guest arrived.
When you're not from here and you planned this from two thousand miles away, the morning going smoothly is the thing you weren't sure would happen. It did.
Lili Freitas from Weddings of Heart officiated the ceremony outdoors at Cline Family Cellars, the Carneros vineyard spread out behind the altar. Eight guests, which means everyone there was exactly who they wanted.
Hannah and Ray had handed the team the hard part: the venue selection, the catering, the florals, the officiant, the photography. They showed up to a wedding that was already theirs. Cline's in-house catering ran the food. Every vendor they'd agreed to on a call and never met in person turned out exactly right.

Cline Family Cellars sits in the Carneros AVA at the southern edge of Sonoma, where the bay meets the wine country. The Adobe Mission building anchors the property; eucalyptus groves and lotus ponds fill in around it, and the vineyard rows reach out in every direction. For a couple who had picked all of this from Iowa on the basis of photos and a single call, standing at the altar in the Carneros afternoon light was the moment the whole remote plan either held or didn't. It held.
“Everything about our wedding really was catered to us and our vision.”
Family photos stayed on the vineyard property, easy logistics when your wedding party fits around a single table. The Carneros afternoon light was doing what it does in June, and Viera Photographics got the portraits done while the wine was still being poured.
The property gave them more to work with than a single vineyard view. The Adobe Mission building, the eucalyptus groves, the lotus ponds. Cline's grounds have several distinct settings within a short walk of each other, and with eight guests the group moved easily from one to the next. For a couple who had never seen any of it in person until that day, the property kept delivering more than the photos had suggested.
The reception was the same place as the ceremony, no shuttle, no move, just the vineyard and the eight people they'd brought with them. Cline's in-house catering ran the food, a team that knows this property every season. Sweet C's Cakeshoppe handled the cake.
They wanted a day they could enjoy without running it. That's what they got.
Cline is open April through October, and a late-June evening in Carneros has a particular warmth: the vineyard rows catching the last of the afternoon light, the eucalyptus holding the heat, the bay fog still a few hours out. For eight people who had trusted a shortlist and traveled from Iowa, the evening was quiet and held together, exactly the trust-the-planner vineyard minimony they had asked for from the start.
“Ray and I are so happy that we worked with Our Little Wedding! They made the planning process and day-of so easy that we were able to enjoy every moment of our wedding day which was even more beautiful than we could have imagined. Because we had our minimony in Sonoma and live in Iowa, we put a lot of trust in OLW and their recommendations. We couldn't have been happier with our venue, catering, florals, officiant, and photography—everything about our wedding really was catered to us and our vision. Dennis perfectly captured the day, so we can cherish these memories forever. We want to thank Jaime, Dennis, Casey, and Precious for all the hard work that went into making our wedding incredible!”
